Bodega Bay, Ca
4th of July Weekend

Over the long weekend we decided to take a mini-vacation to Bodega Bay. The choice of location was purely for convenience. Every year our SKSDA EM has beach Sabbath at Goat Rock Beach... just minutes from Bodega Bay. Originally 5 families from our EFM were going to rent a nice beach house, but for different reasons we ended up with just 3 families. Our large family, James & Linda(James' sister Janie also joined us for the weekend), and Lisa(with her sister's family) rented a beautiful house on a golf course, overlooking the beautiful ocean. It was just breathtaking! The weather was somewhat overcast, but by Saturday the sun shine through... in fact some of us got sunburned!

Eddie got to play a round of golf, as we watched from our deck. We cheered him on as he got on the 10th green... right in front of our deck. I think we embarrassed him... oh well! It was just nice to relax with such a beautiful view. I know I got a lot of resting done this weekend, and enjoyed the cool weather Sonoma Coast offers. We enjoyed it so much we're planning on doing it again.

This was the beautiful house we rented

that place looks amazing... and of course we do NOT go on vacation every month... dan has 4 weeks of vacation/year, so we take them ALL in the summer to get out of the heat... does that make sense?
